Former New York Mets starting pitcher, Bartolo Colon, has made agreed to a contract elsewhere.
The Atlanta Braves have signed another 40-something-year old pitcher, this time its Colon. They signed knuckleballer, R.A. Dickey yesterday.
Colon will receive a HUGE deal for an aging pitcher, much more than what he received with the New York Mets:
Colon was really solid for the Mets, going for 33 starts in 2016, pitching to a 3.43 ERA and he was just a little short of 200 innings, logging 191.2 innings. The 43-year old also made an All-Star Game appearance in 2o16.
The Braves also went from having one of the youngest pitching staffs, to one of the oldest in a matter of days.
Mind-boggling isn’t it?
