The Michigan Wolverines may have lost to the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday, but they still have a shot to make it into the College Football Playoff.

As of right now, the AP Poll has the Wolverines as the fifth ranked team in the country. The top four teams will be a part of the College Football Playoff, with the #1 seed taking on the #4 seed and the #2 seed playing against the #3 seed. Neither Michigan nor #2 Ohio State will play in the Big Ten Championship Game. #6 Wisconsin and #8 Penn State will have the honor of playing in the Championship Game.

So what will happen to each team after being off next week?

Well, we have to first go from the rankings, provided by the Associated Press:

It is possible that Michigan sneaks into the top 4. Here’s how they can pull it off:

Clemson loses to Virginia Tech:

If the #3 Clemson Tigers lose to the #19 Virginia Tech Hokies on Saturday in the ACC Championship Game, the Wolverines have a shot to sneak in. Clemson isn’t unbeatable, but it will be a tough task for the Hokies.

Washington loses Colorado:

The #4 Washington Huskies are a nasty team. They beat people senseless on the field and have climbed into the National Championship discussion. However, they will face off against one of the hottest teams in the NCAA. Enter the #9 Colorado Buffaloes. At 10-2, they are probably one of the best two loss teams outside of the Wolverines. Ironically enough, they could push the Wolvies up to the number four spot.

Unlikely Scenario:

#1 Alabama loses to #15 Florida:

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH. Not going to happen.

So in other words, wait and see. They could get in there if Wisconsin loses and the two first scenarios go down.
